Ask the Editors: The Aviation Week Network invites our readers to submit questions to our editors and analysts. We’ll answer them, and if we can’t we’ll reach out to our wide network of experts for advice.

I am a subscriber to Aviation Week & Space Technology, but when I go online I can only access articles online from the past year. How can I view earlier issues?

Aviation Week & Space Technology Editor-in-Chief  Joe Anselmo responds:

A paid subscription includes full access to our digital achieve, which includes every page of every issue we’ve ever published in the last 104 years. The archive, which Boeing generously helped underwrite in 2016, is searchable and sortable by articles, covers and advertisements. It’s the history of aviation and aerospace literally as it was written, all the way back to World War I. Find what was on the cover the week you were born (my cover featured the first Boeing 737—can you guess when that was?).

If you’re into space, check out the summer of 1969, when the Apollo 11 mission ran on eight out of nine covers. To access the archive, go to archive.aviationweek.com and use your login. If you encounter technical difficulties, send a message to [email protected] for assistance. And you can email me directly at [email protected]. I like hearing from our readers, even the ones who give me an earful.
