Sweden-based cargo airline West Atlantic has confirmed it is in “advanced discussions” with potential investors as the carrier seeks to bolster its balance sheet after a tough first nine months of the year.

American Airlines and the Allied Pilots Association (APA), which represents 14,500 American pilots, both say the holiday pilot-staffing problem has been resolved and no flights will be canceled in December because of the issue.

A US federal court has granted Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings’ request for a preliminary injunction against its pilots. UK-based LCC easyJet has signed a deal with Latvian ACMI and charter specialist SmartLynx Airlines to operate services out of Berlin Tegel Airport for almost three months, as the UK carrier seeks to acquire parts of insolvent airberlin’s operations.
