airberlin will be able to offer two daily non-stop flights to the Romanian capital, offering 13 new connecting destinations to and from Bucharest, including Madrid, Palma, Malaga, Alicante, Tenerife South, Ibiza, Fuerteventura, Olbia, Venice, Kaliningrad, Gdansk and Sylt.
The new flight will depart Berlin at 21:35, arriving in Bucharest at 00:40, and the return flight will depart the Romanian capital at 06:30 and arrive in Berlin at 07:35, complementing the current standing flights which depart and arrive in the middle of the day.
“Eastern Europe is an important growth market for airberlin. This additional daily frequency allows us to extend our offer for travellers to and from Bucharest. These additional flights will also allow us to provide business travellers with even greater flexibility when planning their schedules,” said Mohammed Nasr, Eastern Europe Area Manager at airberlin.
Connections will also be available to and from other German and European destinations, as well as to and from Russia, New York City and Abu Dhabi. Transfer times with connecting flights will also be reduced. The added flight will allow passengers to connect from Abu Dhabi to destinations in the Middle East, Asia, Australia and Africa through airberlin's partnership with United Arab Emirates (UAE) carrier, Etihad Airways.
