The event takes place from 5-7 July in Tbilisi, Georgia for the second consecutive year, and continues to draw in a host of airlines from across the region, and should not be missed by those interested in developing air service to, from and within Georgia and the surrounding region - register now to secure your place.
Almost 30 airlines are already registered to attend the event, represented by senior delegates, with the most recent registration including Pegasus Airlines, who will also represent Pegasus Asia. Air Astana are also set to attend, after very recently launching a new route to link the capitals of Kazakhstan and Georgia.
A number of out of region carriers will be attending including Air China, China Southern and LOT Polish. A number of low-cost carriers have also registered, including European LCCs Vueling and easyJet – who are both expanding their model and entering new markets. Pobeda who will be represented by Aeroflot, and remain the only low-cost carrier in a market where LCCs have failed to take off. A large number of airports within the region are set to attend, as well as a number of European airports such as Copenhagen, Frankfurt and Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen. Routes Silk Road 2015 will also feature a number of exhibitors, including Lufthansa Consulting and IATA who were both returning exhibitors from last year’s event.
The event revolves around pre-scheduled Face-to-Face Meetings and with around 800 pre-arranged meetings taking place over three days, the event offers an unrivalled platform for airlines and airports to do business face-to-face with the key decision makers in the industry.
The Routes Silk Road Strategy Summit, sponsored by Embraer will bring together leading industry experts to spark exciting debates about air service and route development issues affecting commercial aviation across Silk Road, when it opens on July 5.
The Summit is open to all delegates and will give valuable insight into aviation across the region, and will feature a number of high-level speakers including Christophe Viatte, Chief Commercial Officer, airBaltic; Leonid Sergeev, CEO, Krasnodar and Sochi Airports (Basel Aero); Dilhan Haradasa; Executive Director Network Planning, LOT Polish; Petro Lipovenko, President, Association Airports of Ukraine and George Chogovadze, Head of Georgia National Tourism Administration.
