CSA Czech Airlines is introducing five additional European destinations for its 2015 summer schedule, in addition to another five which were announced last autumn.
It will mark the first time the airline has served the UK since withdrawing from the market five years ago, after 72 years of service.
Czech Airlines will operate the new routes between the Czech capital to Athens, Bordeaux, Liverpool, Porto and Stavanger. Previously announced routes include Bilbao, Billund, Oslo, Bologna and Cork.
The airline will operate services between Prague and Athens from May 3, 2015 twice weekly, departing Prague at 22:55pm, arriving into Athens at 02:30am (+1 day). The return journey will depart the Greek capital at 04:40am, arriving into Prague at 06:15am.
Services to Bordeaux will depart Prague on Saturdays at 11:10am, arriving into Bordeaux at 13:25pm, with the return journey departing Bordeaux at 14:10pm, arriving into Prague at 16:30pm. The route will also operate on Wednesdays, departing Prague at 12:30pm, arriving into the French city at 14:45pm. The inbound flight will depart Bordeaux at 15:30, arriving into the Czech capital at 17:50pm.
The first UK flight from the airline in five years will depart Prague at 07:00am, arriving into Liverpool at 08:15am, returning from the Merseyside city at 08:55am, arriving into the Czech Republic at 11:50am.
Prague – Porto will see the outbound flight departing at 19:40pm, arriving into Porto at 21:55pm. The return flight will operate out of the Portuguese city at 07:45am, arriving into Prague at 11:50am.
Finally, the Prague – Stavanger route will operate separate schedules on its Saturday and Wednesday flights, with the weekend flight departing Prague at 11:15am, arriving into Stavanger at 13:15pm. The inbound flight will operate from Stavanger in Norway at 14:00pm, arriving into Prague at 15:55pm. The weekday outbound flight will operate at 11:40am, arriving into Stavanger at 13:40pm, with the return journey departing Norway at 14:25pm, arriving into the Czech Republic at 16:20pm.
All of the above routes will be operated using Czech Airlines’ Airbus A319 aircraft twice weekly. The airline also plans to launch services to both Kazan and Kaliningrad in Russia.
The new routes to Billund and Bologna will begin service from March 29, 2015, followed by the operations to Oslo, as well as the Prague – Billund – Oslo operation which will both launch on March 30, 2015.
Operations to Cork will commence service on May 14, 2015, and the new service to Bilbao will begin operation on June 4, 2015. All of the new routes will operate out of Václav Havel Airport, Prague in the Czech Republic.
