Delta Air Lines unveiled three new domestic routes it will open for the summer 2024 season, including two from its Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) hub to California destinations.
From June 7, the carrier will launch service between ATL and Fresno Yosemite International Airport. On the same day, Delta will commence flights between ATL and Santa Barbara Airport (SBA). Both ATL-California routes will be operated 1X-daily.
Also on June 7, the SkyTeam member will resume 1X-daily service from ATL to three destinations: Reno, Nevada; and Hollywood-Burbank and Oakland in California.
From July 8, Delta will start flights between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. “The launch of this 2X-daily service in July brings customers to the most populous destination not already served by Delta out of Seattle,” the airline says in a statement.
On the same day, the carrier will resume 1X-daily flights between Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) and Sacramento International Airport in California.
Three more routes will be resumed for the 2024 summer season. From June 7, Delta will restart 1X-daily daily between DTW and Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. “Detroit complements Delta's year-round service to Anchorage from Seattle and Minneapolis-St. Paul and summer seasonal service from Atlanta and Salt Lake City,” Delta says.
The two other route resumptions are from Salt Lake City International Airport, with service starting June 7: SBA and John Glenn Columbus International Airport in Ohio. Both routes will be operated 1X-weekly.
Delta said “most of routes” being launched or resumed will be operated using a mix of mainline aircraft, including the Boeing 737-800, 737-900, 757-200 and the Airbus A220-300 and A321.
