Brisbane's Aboriginal History
This tour will take you on a journey that starts long before any European settlement, right through to present day. Travel from Brisbane City Hall through the central business district to the City Botanic Gardens.
New Farm Park Riverside CityCycle
Cycle between two of Brisbane’s most beautiful green spaces, City Botanic Gardens and New Farm Park. Enjoy riverside views as you cycle along our city’s great bikeways, and enjoy a relaxing return on the CityCat ferry.
South Bank Riverside CityCycle
South Bank Parklands covers 17 hectares of lush gardens and lawns along the southern bank of the Brisbane River. You will cycle across the solar-powered Kurilpa Bridge, pass the Gallery of Modern Art and the State Library of Queensland before riding under the Victoria Bridge to the ‘Brisbane’ sign. The next part of the journey will take you to the Goodwill Bridge, Grand Arbour, Nepalese Peace Pagoda, Wheel of Brisbane, Streets Beach, River Quay and the Queensland Maritime Museum.
Riverside Precincts
Delegates will discover the City Botanic Gardens’ historic past as Brisbane’s first farm, and walk through a rainforest to The Cube, one of the world’s largest digital interactive learning and display spaces. Next up is an edible garden at South Bank, Kangaroo Point Cliffs and the return ferry journey.
South Bank and Cultural Precinct
South Bank is home to several of Brisbane’s cultural institutions such as the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art, State Library of Queensland and Queensland Museum and Sciencentre. Experience the cultural and entertainment offerings of the precinct along with a pleasant walk through the parklands.
