North America’s top 10 airlines by size have registered for the event in February which will be hosted by Las Vegas Convention and Visitor Authority and McCarran International Airport. These are:
- American Airlines
- Delta Air Lines
- Southwest Airlines
- United Airlines
- Air Canada
- JetBlue
- Alaska Airlines
- WestJet
- Aeromexico
- Spirit Airlines
South America’s top three major airlines – LATAM, GOL and Avianca – will also be present.
The event is attracting a significant number of airlines from outside the Americas including British Airways, Scandinavian Airlines, Iberia, Hong Kong Airlines and Norwegian.
Airlines that are new to the event or have attended infrequently in the past are GLO Airlines, Mesa Airlines, Sky Airline, SkyWest Airlines and Southern Airways Express.
There are currently 67 airlines registered for Routes Americas and this number is expected to grow to over 80 by the time of the event.
Some of the most senior network planners in the industry will be among the 800 delegates at Routes Americas. In addition to the face-to-face meetings, delegates will have the chance to converse with them at conference element of the event, the Strategy Summit.
Ben Brookman, head of network planning at Alaska Airlines; Andrew Watterson, senior vice president network and revenue at Southwest Airlines; Daniel Snaebjornsson, vice president network and pricing at WOW Air and Lukas Johnson, vice president, network and pricing at Allegiant Air will take part in Strategy Summit discussions.
