Through its French colonial roots, Québec is one of the oldest European cities in North America, boasting a unique blend of cultures and fascinating heritage. The hosts of Routes Americas 2019, Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) and Québec City Tourism, will be bringing the event to this stunning destination from 12-14 February 2019.
Having undergone exceptional economic development in the past 25 years, Québec City’s metropolitan area has demonstrated the most sustained growth rate of any Canadian region, and YQB is continuing to make a significant contribution to this growth by a number of construction projects, including technology improvements and runway refurbishments, representing a $277m investment.
Delegates attending Routes Americas 2019 will have the opportunity to discover these new developments and also experience some of the destination’s most charming attractions, including the world’s largest winter carnival, the Carnaval de Québec. The festivities will take place in the city from 8-17 February, featuring ice sculptures, snow slides, night parades, snow canoeing races and an ice palace.
In addition, attendees will be able to visit the city’s beautiful Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, during a selection of complimentary and paid tours taking place in the days leading up to and following the event. The itineraries will also feature a trip to the enchanting Hôtel de Glace, dog sledding or skiing in the breathtaking Massif de Charlevoix.
To help keep delegates as warm as possible whilst exploring the winter wonderland of Québec City, our hosts have partnered with Avalanche outerwear to offer an exclusive 10 percent discount off their range of winter attire. Find out more
