In March of this year Asia’s route development community will descend on Mumbai, the financial and entertainment capital of India, to meet and do business to shape Asia’s future air networks. Over 600 key decision makers from across the Asia Pacific region and beyond are expected to gather at the event, which will be hosted by Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) which is managed by GVK group, to discuss air service development.
Registrations have already been received from network planners and other key decision makers from 64 airlines, significantly more than at this stage in 2012. India is an important market and for airports wishing to do business with Indian carriers Routes Asia in Mumbai is not to be missed. Airlines such as Air India, Jet Airways, Spicejet and IndiGo will attend with very senior delegations along with Air India Express and JetLite.
The event also promises a large Chinese presence with Air China, Shenzhen Airlines, Hainan Airlines, China Eastern and China Southern Airlines all confirming their attendance in recent weeks whilst the Low Cost sector will also be well represented with attendance from Jetstar Airways, LionAir, The AirAsia Group and Tiger Airways. Other carriers who have signed up for the Indian event recently include Hong Kong Airlines, Nasair, Nordwind and Philippine Airlines.
The event will also see more out of region carriers in attendance as they look to do business with the expanding markets such as China and India. Carriers from beyond the Asia region who have confirmed their attendance so far include; from the Middle East, Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways along with American Airlines and Finnair whilst both South African Airways & Kenya Airways will attend the event for the first time.

Routes Asia in 2013 will see more opportunities to meet than in previous years as more meeting slots have been made available by expanding the business day to meet the demands of our delegates.
Registrations from Airports and Tourism Authorities are also flooding in with recent confirmations of attendance received from Melbourne Airport, Christchurch & Canterbury Tourism and Tourism Western Australia. Several Chinese Airports such as Xinjiang Airport Group, Nanjing Lukou International Airport and Yunnan Airport Group have also registered for the event promising a large representation from China. From further afield registrations received over the last week include Athens International Airport, Hannover Airport, Cologne Bonn Airport, TAV Airports, Bahrain International Airport, Warsaw Chopin Airport.
