Draft diaries will be available to view online through the Meeting Requests System from Wednesday 17th April which will allow all delegates to view the status of their meetings and assist in their preparations.
Preparing for your Meetings
The system also provides delegates with the perfect platform to request and prepare for their meetings at Routes Europe as, during the requesting process, access to Routesonline company profiles is available helping delegates select the right companies to meet with by providing all the information Routesonline has to offer straight to the central meeting requests page.
Company profiles on Routesonline can provide you with a wealth of information about the company you’re meeting with. Make sure your own company profile is kept up to date and start connecting with other delegates on Routesonline in the weeks leading up to the event. Initiate new, or continue existing dialogue with prospective customers ahead of the meetings which will take place in Budapest. Connect now and start networking!

Hotel and Flight Information
If you have not yet secured your flights and hotel reservation, you should do so as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. This year’s event will be held at the Syma Conference Venue, Hungary’s newest and most modern, state-of-the-art multifunctional facility. There are many hotels to choose from in Budapest but, during Routes Europe, we recommend staying in one of our preferred hotels where Routes Europe delegates will benefit from preferential rates and complimentary transfers to the event venue, networking evening and Budapest Airport. All hotels are located within 5km of the event venue and it is recommended you book early to avoid disappointment. Click here for more information and to book your Routes Europe hotel accommodation.
This year The Star Alliance member airlines are pleased to be appointed as the Official Airline Network for Routes Europe. Registered delegates plus one accompanying person travelling to the event can qualify for a discount of up to 20%, depending on fare and class of travel booked.
To obtain the Star Alliance Conventions Plus discounts registered delegates should visit Star Alliance and under “Delegates login” enter conventions code LH15S13. Click here for more information about participating airlines and how to book flights and take advantage of this generous offer.
If you have already booked your flight and hotel accommodation for Routes Europe please ensure the details are forwarded to Victoria Jay to help facilitate event transfers.
Visa Requirements
Make sure you have all the necessary documentation to travel to Budapest. Hungary joined the Schengen Area on 19 December, 2007. From that time visas and residence permits issued by one of the Schengen Member States are also valid for Hungary, and visas/residence permits issued by Hungarian authorities are - as a general rule - also valid for the entire Schengen Area.
The Schengen regulations are only applicable for a stay not exceeding 90 days and rules for a stay longer than 90 days are laid down by the national law of the member states concerned. We would urge attending delegates to apply for any necessary visa as soon as possible directly at their local Hungarian Embassy or Consulate.
In addition to the visa application form, relevant fees and photos, embassies may also require a letter of invitation from the inviting company. Delegates requiring such a document from our host, Budapest Airport, should complete the electronic request form in full ensuring accuracy throughout.
Click here for further information on how to begin your visa application process and to request your invitation letter.
The above information should ensure you’re prepared for Routes Europe 2013...we’ll see you in Budapest!
