It has been a busy start to the year at Swiss carrier SkyWork Airlines following a management buyout and some internal cost cuts. But chief executive officer, Tomislav Lang is in good spirits and hopeful that a record performance in 2012 can act as a strong platform for the carrier. The early signs in 2013 are positive with booking numbers and earnings very heartening. A new eleven times weekly link between Berne and Munich was launched earlier this month and while some tweaking of the network is planned - the carrier has already dropped its Basel – Elba link due to disappointing sales – a second base is set to be added.
