In 2018, Routes events facilitated over 20,000 meetings that will go on to shape the world’s route networks. With the close of the year approaching, the Routes team are already planning the next cycle of industry leading events.
Routes events are a crucial touchpoint for senior decision makers in the route development community. They provide an unbeatable opportunity for airports and tourism authorities to negotiate new and existing air services with senior network planners from the world’s leading and fastest-growing airlines.
Routes Americas
Airports and tourism authorities will be able to request meetings with their target airlines from 3 January 2019. Airlines will have until 6 February 2019 to respond, once this scheduling period has closed the Routes team will provide each organisation with their meeting diary. Routes Asia
The meeting request system will be open from 28 January – 4 March for Routes Asia. Airports and tourism authorises will be able to submit their priority meetings, airlines have until 4 March 2019 to accept their meeting requests. AirAsia Group, British Airways, Jetstar Airways and Philippine Airlines have already confirmed their attendance, view the Routes Asia attendee list.
Routes Europe
Senior network planners will begin to plan their meeting diaries for Routes Europe from 18 February, the meeting request system will open until 1 April 2019. Lufthansa Group, LOT Polish Airlines, Vueling Airlines and Wizz Air are just some of carriers that delegates will be able to meet, view the full Routes Europe attendee list.
World Routes
The largest event in the Routes calendar, World Routes, will open its meeting request system on 8 July 2019. Attending airports and tourism authorities will then begin to approach their target airlines to arrange event meetings. These requests must be answered by the 13 September 2019 to secure priority meetings for the event. Find out more on the flagship event.
