TAP Express’ chief executive Valter Fernandes will be among the top airline and industry experts speaking next week at MRO Europe, the international trade fair for maintenance, repair and overhaul in the aerospace sector.
Fernandes started his career in aviation in 2001 when he joined TAP Portugal as a project manager. Since then, he has held various roles within the group, including six years as executive vice president of operations at TAP M&E Brazil.
In January 2018, Fernandes took the reins at TAP Express, the regional feeder carrier and a subsidiary of TAP.
He is joined on the conference agenda by the likes of Mike Fleming, VP Commercial services for Boeing; Frank Stevens, VP global MRO centres for Embraer; Philippe Mhun, SVP customer services for Airbus; and Bram Nicolai, VP E&M for Transavia.
MRO Europe is the largest gathering of aviation maintenance professionals in the region. It enables attendees to meet key decision makers under one roof and is the leading destination for airlines to learn about, test and purchase new MRO solutions and services.
Taking place from 16-18 October 2018 at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Center in the Netherlands, the event will bring together 8,000 airline and maintenance professionals from more than 90 countries.
Conference attendees have unlimited access to the speakers and sessions taking place over the three-day event. Routesonline readers can use the promotion code ROUTES18 to save 20 percent on registration.
The exhibition hall will include numerous opportunities to network and showcase products. New this year is the EASA Part 21 Design and Manufacture Pavilion, which will serve as a designated area where MROs, airlines and lessors requiring Part 21J/G services can meet companies that hold these approvals and certifications.
“MRO Europe offers attendees and exhibitors unparalleled access to buyers including airlines and lessors, as well as industry knowledge and information,” said Lydia Janow, managing director/events and tradeshows, Aviation Week Network.
“We are looking forward to returning to Amsterdam and expect in excess of 8,000 registered attendees.”
