London Stansted-based charter and airline sub-charter specialist, Titan Airways, has been awarded several new tour operator ski flight contracts for the winter 2015/2016 schedule which will see it increase its weekly flights supporting this market from eight to ten.
The airline will offer eight weekly Chambery flights and a once a week Turin service, while a brand new route for the carrier from London Gatwick to Grenoble will see it offer a weekly flight for independent ski tour operator, Skiworld from mid December 2015 to mid April 2016 on one of its three Airbus A320-200 aircraft.
With a significant increase in capacity, Titan will become the largest supplier of charter flight seats to Hotelplan UK – the parent company of Inghams, Esprit Holidays and Ski Total – for the first time. As well as Skiworld and Hotelplan UK, the carrier will be operating ski charter flights on behalf of Crystal Ski Holidays and Club Med.
The flights will be operated on Titan’s Boeing 757 as well as Airbus A320 fleets and will serve Stansted, Birmingham and Bristol together with Gatwick.
Founded in 1988, Titan is an established player in the European charter market, providing bespoke charter flight services. Besides the ski tour operator flight programmes, the airline operates a summer flight series on behalf of a variety of travel and cruise companies as well as private charter flights for a diverse customer base, including personalities and companies from the music and film industries, international sports stars and teams, royalty and heads of state, government delegations, senior business executives and corporate events groups.
It also supports the scheduled airline sector and many leading airlines – legacy carriers and regional airlines - call on it to provide instant operational solutions. The airline’s reputation is built on its unique ‘Go Now’ policy, which guarantees that an aircraft can be airborne within 60 minutes of flight confirmation, while its fleet, which includes three Boeing 737-300QCs; two 757-200s; a Boeing 767-300ER and three Airbus A320-200s, is also available to other airlines for short, medium and long term lease requirements.
