A strong mix of airlines including British Airways, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Iberia and low cost carriers Ryanair, easyJet, Norwegian, Vueling, Transavia, Wizzair, Wow air and Jet2.com will be present at Europe’s largest route development forum.
KLM Royal Dutch Airways will attend for the first time and Air France will return after a break last year.
There will also be a significant presence from carriers outside Europe such as Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, Air Canada, WestJet, Qatar Airways, Etihad, Oman Air, All Nippon Airways and China Southern Airlines.
Delegates will get the chance to hear from industry leaders at the conference element of Routes Europe, the Strategy Summit. The speakers who will explore the latest airline issues and trends include Fernando Estrada, Chief Strategy Officer at Vueling; Juha Jarvinen, Chief Commercial Officer at Finnair; and Jochen Schnadt, Chief Commercial Officer at BMI Regional.
Finnair, EasyJet, Vueling, LOT Polish Airlines, Small Planet Airlines and Transavia will also hold ‘Route Exchange Briefings’ for airport and tourism authority delegates who want to improve their understanding of airline route planning.
The most senior network planners in the industry will be among the 1,200 delegates attending Routes Europe 2016, and over 4,500 face-to-face meetings are expected to take place.
