World Routes comes to the USA for the first time in October when the 19thWorld Route Development Forum takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada and registrations from the US domestic market are on the increase.
This year’s event, which will take place on 5-8 October 2013 co-hosted by Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and Las Vegas McCarran International Airport, is expected to attract over 3,000 delegates from the global aviation industry. Registrations to date have included many airlines and airports from the Americas region with the domestic US market very strong, many of whom will attend Routes for the first time ever.
All four US major full service carriers, American Airlines, US Airways, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines, will attend the event each bringing large delegations. Managing Director of Domestic Planning Jim Feria will be in attendance for United whilst domestic planners for US Airways include Jason George and Michael Barich. The major low cost carriers are also attending the event and registrations have been received, JetBlue will be in attendance led by VP Network Planning, Scott Laurence, Spirit Airlines and Southwest are also confirmed with Evan Berg, Manager Initiatives - Network Planning leading the Southwest team of seven.
Further registrations have also been received from Allegiant Air who will be at Routes in force led by President, Andrew Levy and Director of Network Planning Lukas Johnson, whilst Alaska Airlines has a confirmed presence from 5 delegates. Airlines attending World Routes for the first time in 2013 include Sun Country, Virgin America, Surf Air and People Express.
In addition there are already several confirmed Route Exchange Briefings taking place in Las Vegas which are relevant to the US domestic market. Senior representatives from the following airlines have committed to delivering a briefing during the event; Allegiant Air, People Express, JetBlue Airways and Southwest Airlines.
Routes have also seen an increase in US airports registering for the event and first time attendees include; Portland International Jetport, Pensacola International Airport, Raleigh - Durham International Airport, St. George Municipal Airport, Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority, Valley International Airport, El Paso International Airport, Evansville Regional Airport, Pangborn Memorial Airport, Spokane International Airport, Myrtle Beach Airport, Boise Airport, Kern County Airports and Atlantic City International Airport.
