Voting for the fourth regional heat of the 2015 Routes Marketing Awards is now open and airlines from within the Middle Eastern region are being asked to consider the efficient use of marketing activities by an airport or destination over the last 12 months.
Winners of the awards, which recognise the marketing performance of airports and tourism authorities within the Middle East and African regions, will be announced during the Routes Middle East & Africa Networking Evening which will be held on Monday 1st June 2015 at the event in Manama, Bahrain.
The annual Routes Marketing awards are highly regarded as the most prestigious awards in the industry as they are voted for and judged by the airline network planning community. They provide the airline community with the chance to have their say as to which airport or destination they think provides the best overall marketing services to them ensuring that the most effective campaigns are rewarded for their hard work and dedication to route development.
When voting airlines should consider key elements such as market research, communication, presentations for market opportunities, campaigns with third parties and innovative use of technologies and techniques, visit our dedicated awards pages for more information.
These much sought after awards are a great way for the winning airports to have a credible recognition which they can proudly talk about to their customers and other stakeholders.
Kilimanjaro Airport was announced as the winner of the 2014 Routes Africa Marketing Awards heat and speaking at the time Kilimanjaro’s Managing Director, Mattijs Smith said:
“We are very delighted and proud to win the overall Routes Africa award for the second year in a row. This award is a true recognition by our airline customers for strengthening our existing routes and achieving a record growth of 24% in traffic in 2013.”
The overall winner of the Routes Middle East & Africa Awards 2015 will be automatically shortlisted, along with the winners of the other regional heats taking place throughout the year at all other Routes events, for the World Routes 2015 Awards which will be announced in Durban this September.
