Embraer rolls out E190-E2 in Brazil

Embraer has rolled out its first next-generation E-Jet, an E190-E2, at its headquarters in São José dos Campos, Brazil. The E190-E2’s first flight is slated for the second half of 2016 with first deliveries expected to take place in 2018. The E2s are exclusively powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1900G geared turbofan engines.

Airbus has started final assembly of the first A350-1000 on schedule at the A350 XWB Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Toulouse. This A350-1000, one of three flight test aircraft to be built, will operate its maiden flight before the end of 2016.

A Djibouti-based Daallo Airlines Airbus A321-100, en route from Mogadishu to Djibouti, experienced an onboard explosion after 15 minutes after takeoff, and returned to Mogadishu airport. The aircraft was carrying 74 passengers and seven crew.
