Aaron Karp has covered aviation since 1999. Based in Washington, D.C. he is an Aviation Week Network contributing editor, focusing on airline network development, airports, air cargo and sustainability. His writing has appeared in a wide range of aviation publications covering topics including airlines, aviation public policy, vertical flight, business aviation and future technology. Karp previously served as managing editor of Air Cargo World magazine and editor-in-chief of Aviation Daily. He began his journalism career in the mid-1990s working for syndicated columnist Jack Anderson.
Alaska Airlines will operate routes to the Bahamas for the first time, launching service to the Caribbean country in December from Seattle and Los Angeles.
American Airlines will add two routes from its Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport hub in November, including new flights to Jacksonville, Florida.
