Chen Chuanren is the Southeast Asia and China Editor for the Aviation Week Network’s (AWN) Air Transport World (ATW) and the Asia-Pacific Defense Correspondent for AWN, joining the team in 2017.
Prior joining AWN, Chuanren was a regular serviceman in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Air Defense and Operations Command. He now serves the RSAF Air Force Information Center as a reservist. He holds a Bachelor of Mass Communications as well as a Diploma in Mechatronics (Aerospace).
A report from Myanmar-based newspaper The Irrawady says that a Burmese group of pilots, technicians and weapons officers has traveled to China to begin training on the Guizhou Aviation Industry Corp-built lead-in jet trainer and light combat aircraft.
