Chen Chuanren is the Southeast Asia and China Editor for the Aviation Week Network’s (AWN) Air Transport World (ATW) and the Asia-Pacific Defense Correspondent for AWN, joining the team in 2017.
Prior joining AWN, Chuanren was a regular serviceman in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Air Defense and Operations Command. He now serves the RSAF Air Force Information Center as a reservist. He holds a Bachelor of Mass Communications as well as a Diploma in Mechatronics (Aerospace).
The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded Boeing a contract for the upgrade of Japan Air Self Defense Force Boeing/Mitsubishi F-15G Eagles to the Japan Super Interceptor standard, ending more than two years of changing definitions and price negotiations.
