Chen Chuanren is the Southeast Asia and China Editor for the Aviation Week Network’s (AWN) Air Transport World (ATW) and the Asia-Pacific Defense Correspondent for AWN, joining the team in 2017.
Prior joining AWN, Chuanren was a regular serviceman in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Air Defense and Operations Command. He now serves the RSAF Air Force Information Center as a reservist. He holds a Bachelor of Mass Communications as well as a Diploma in Mechatronics (Aerospace).
The memorandum of understanding, signed by Garuda’s president and CEO Irfan Setiaputra and SIA CEO Goh Choon Phong, will initially see the “potential alignment of frequent-flyer programs, joint marketing activities, and initiatives to promote inbound tourism.”
As travel restrictions are still in flux across Asia-Pacific, the region’s carriers fared differently in the month of October, with China’s three main airlines recording falls in traffic.
