Chen Chuanren is the Southeast Asia and China Editor for the Aviation Week Network’s (AWN) Air Transport World (ATW) and the Asia-Pacific Defense Correspondent for AWN, joining the team in 2017.
Prior joining AWN, Chuanren was a regular serviceman in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Air Defense and Operations Command. He now serves the RSAF Air Force Information Center as a reservist. He holds a Bachelor of Mass Communications as well as a Diploma in Mechatronics (Aerospace).
The Singapore government will set aside S$130 million ($96 million) and extend the salary subsidy program known as Aviation Workforce Retention Grant (AWRG) by another six months, as part of an effort to tide the aviation sector over into the recovery phase.
