Chen Chuanren is the Southeast Asia and China Editor for the Aviation Week Network’s (AWN) Air Transport World (ATW) and the Asia-Pacific Defense Correspondent for AWN, joining the team in 2017.
Prior joining AWN, Chuanren was a regular serviceman in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Air Defense and Operations Command. He now serves the RSAF Air Force Information Center as a reservist. He holds a Bachelor of Mass Communications as well as a Diploma in Mechatronics (Aerospace).
Australia has approved a launch permit for tiSPACE, a Taiwanese rocket startup, to test launch its Hapith I rocket from the Whalers Way Orbital Launch Complex by the end of 2021.
Chinese state media reported on the launch of the weapon without specifying the designation, but the images suggest the system strongly resembles the Dong Feng-15B class of missile with a new series of warhead.
