Chen Chuanren is the Southeast Asia and China Editor for the Aviation Week Network’s (AWN) Air Transport World (ATW) and the Asia-Pacific Defense Correspondent for AWN, joining the team in 2017.
Prior joining AWN, Chuanren was a regular serviceman in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Air Defense and Operations Command. He now serves the RSAF Air Force Information Center as a reservist. He holds a Bachelor of Mass Communications as well as a Diploma in Mechatronics (Aerospace).
Vietjet Air has announced a partnership with freight carrier UPS, allowing both airlines to leverage air cargo capacity on each others’ aircraft between the U.S. and Asia, and especially within Vietnam and Thailand.
Boeing remains bullish about China’s standing in the global passenger aircraft market, estimating 8,600 aircraft deliveries over the next 20 years, growing at 4.4% annually.
