In 2013 he was named Managing Editor Commercial.

Jens frequently appears on radio and TV to comment on industry matters. In 2003, he received the Hugo Junkers Award of the German aviation press for his coverage of Fairchild Dornier’s bankruptcy. Air France by 2007 plans to cut EUR1 billion in annual costs, equal to a 6% reduction in total costs and intended to help the company compete with low-cost airlines and adapt to the coming lower-yield environment.
