At about 1650 Alaska daylight time, a tundra tire-equipped Piper PA-18 airplane, N2581P, sustained substantial damaged when it collided with a stand of trees during an attempted go-around while landing at a private airstrip, about six miles east of Wasilla, Ak. It was VFR at the time of the accident. The private pilot died at the scene, and the one passenger sustained minor injuries. According to family members, the flight originated from the accident airstrip, about 1630.

At about 10:10 a.m. EST, a runway incursion occurred at Teterboro Airport (TEB), N.J., involving a Cessna 172 (N316AS) and a Dassault Falcon 200 (N277QS). The incident happened during the day shift with a front line manager and two air traffic control specialists on position. The ground controller had been on position for 40 minutes and was responsible for five aircraft. The Cessna 172 had landed on Runway 19 and requested a back taxi to Runway 19.

On June 22, 2008, at approximately 1200 CDT, an inflight collision occurred between a twin-engine Beech 99 (N99NN) and an exiting parachutist. The parachutist did not deploy his parachute and was fatally injured. The airplane's horizontal stabilizer sustained substantial damage. The airplane was owned and operated by Skydive Factory Inc. It was VFR at the time of the accident. Initial statements were collected by a responding Federal Aviation Administration inspector.
