AirShares Elite, iFly and PlaneSmart! have formed the Professionally Managed Aircraft Association (PMAA). The new trade group will seek to establish a code of professional standards and conduct for this growing industry while promoting the benefits of this form of personal aircraft access. *July 16 -- At 0910 MDT, a Bell UH-1H was substantially damaged when it impacted terrain following a loss of control while departing a remote landing zone near Benchmark, Mont. The helicopter was under the operational control of the U.S. Forest Service and was to carry an external load in support of the Ahorn fire on the Bob Marshal Wilderness area in the Lewis and Clark National Forest. After delivering supplies at Benchmark, the ground crew attached a load of firefighting equipment.
