Flight Display Systems has announced an upgraded version of its DVD/CD/MP3 player and received FAA PMA approval for the equipment in January. The new FD9342DVD-4B features easier aircraft installation, more audio/video outputs and additional inputs for playing iPods and video games throughout the cabin. A new 28-volt DC power supply replaces the previous 12-volt power supply, allowing for easier standard aircraft installation. Valspar Flooring has introduced its new high-performance, environmentally friendly CRU-340, a chemical-resistant Urethane coating for concrete. According to the company, the product meets the flooring needs of industrial, aviation, institutional and commercial operations for improved performance and durability. CRU-340 is easy to mix and apply, and is suited for new and existing concrete floors. It cures quickly, allowing for a recoat in about 12 hours, and can handle light foot traffic in 24 hours.

A Cessna 150M flown by a student pilot was substantially damaged when it hit a house and terrain in Bedford, Ind. It was VFR at the time and there were no ground injures, but the pilot and his passenger were fatally injured.
