Jessica is Executive Editor of Business & Commercial Aviation magazine. She started as Editor of ShowNews Online, Aviation Week's on-site trade show daily published at the Paris Air Show, NBAA Annual Convention, Singapore Air Show and at other significant aerospace gatherings.
Jessica has worked in television production and management consulting. While not yet a licensed pilot, Ms. Salerno has received flight instruction and has soloed.
Iviation has released two i-Learn interactive computer-based learning courses for corporate, charter and commercial flight operations. The first two courses address human factors/crew resource management and aircraft icing. The company says that these courses are suitable for all size flight and charter operations that have a difficult time scheduling downtime, and will help CEOs and flight department managers determine what a pilot's knowledge level really is. By the end of 2007, iviation says it will release more than 40 i-Learn courses.

Avemco Insurance Co. recently announced a change to its Safety Rewards Program. Developed with cooperation from Cessna Aircraft Co., the new initiative expands the availability of premium credits. Any student who enrolls in a Cessna Pilot Center (CPC)-approved FAR Part 141 flight training program will qualify for the 5-percent flight training premium credit when they purchase an Avemco insurance policy (including non-owner coverage). Upon graduation the pilot will be eligible for another year of 5-percent savings on the policy premium.
