The Greek government is to provide funds to the carrier as it is deemed crucial to the country’s tourism industry.

The sale of French leisure carrier Corsair will be completed shortly to a consortium based in the French Caribbean, according to Peter Oncken, MD of controlling shareholder INTRO Aviation and Corsair chairman.

Athens-based Aegean Airlines will operate less than 20% of last year’s capacity over the 2020/21 winter season.
