Aireon, Nav Canada’s joint venture with Iridium Communications, is set to launch 10 ADS-B payload-carrying satellites via SpaceX launch vehicles in mid-September, Nav Canada CEO Neil Wilson says.
The satellites will be the vanguard of the Iridium NEXT constellation of 66 low-earth orbiting satellites that will provide space-based coverage of the world’s airspace for the first time.
