A resurgent fourth-quarter net profit of $98.3 million helped to ease full-year net losses for Santiago-based LATAM Airlines Group, which closed out 2014 with a net loss of $109.8 million, narrowed from its $281.1 million net loss in 2013.
The US will see “a competitive and profitable aviation industry characterized by increasing demand for air travel and airfares growing more slowly than inflation, reflecting over the long term a growing US economy,” FAA said in its Aerospace Forecast for fiscal years 2015-2035.
