Based in London, Tony covers European defense programs. Prior to joining Aviation Week in November 2012, Tony was at Shephard Media Group where he was deputy editor for Rotorhub and Defence Helicopter magazines. Tony has covered avionics, unmanned vehicles, the supply chain and cyberwarfare.
Under the UK’s Project Guardian, the system will network British radar sites and airfields to generate a dynamic, real-time depiction of aircraft in the airspace under UK control.
Work has formally begun on a new set of facilities to support the UK Royal Air Force’s (RAF) new fleet of Boeing P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft.
