The Pilatus PC-24 combines the versatility of a turboprop with the cabin size of a medium-light jet, and the performance of a light jet. The aircraft is designed with short-field performance in mind, even on unpaved runways. Pilatus has delivered 180 PC-24s.

The Lily Stirling Ranges offers a unique accommodation option near Amelup in Western Australia. It’s a Dakota DC-3 (C-47) in which Pleun and Hennie Hitzert have set up a bed and breakfast. The piston-powered aircraft was built in 1943-44 in California and delivered to the Netherlands East Indies Transport Section, based in Brisbane. The aircraft was used for transport duties for Royal Dutch Indies Airways. After the war it saw commercial use and crash landed in Broome in 1974. Now after being retrieved from a private garden, it has a new lease on life.
