JetASAP Sees Charter Flight Hour Rate Decline In Q1

JetASAP, an online aircraft charter service, saw its charter operator billable flight hr. rates decrease by an overall average of 4% during the first three months of 2023, as compared to the fourth quarter 2022, according to the company’s first quarter (Q1) report. 

The largest drop was in the light jet segment, which decreased 10% to an all-in hourly rate of $6,358 per flight hr.

Mid-size jet and super-midsize jet billable flight hours decreased 4% and 5%, respectively. Despite the overall average decrease, turboprops experienced a 1% increase to $3,841 per flight hr. Lastly, heavy jets decreased by 2% to $13,387 per billable flight hr.

According to JetASAP, the top three spring break month destinations included California, the Caribbean and South Florida. The report included the top departure and arrival destinations for its members.

The top five departure airports included Teterboro Airport in New Jersey; Miami Opa-Locka Executive Airport in Miami; Van Nuys Airport in Van Nuys, California; Scottsdale Airport in Scottsdale, Arizona; and William P. Hobby Airport in Houston. The top arrival airports include Miami Opa-Locka Executive Airport; Van Nuys Airport; Palm Beach International Airport in West Palm Beach, Florida; Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas; and Providenciales International Airport in the Caicos Islands.
