Eve is conducting its first North American urban air mobility (UAM) simulation in to evaluate infrastructure, operational and passenger needs for potential services in the metropolitan area.

Using Blade helicopters, Eve operated flights between Vertiport Chicago and the suburbs of Tinley Park and Schaumburg to collect data from the simulation. Aviation Week editors Lee Ann Shay and Lindsay Bjerregaard joined Eve co-CEO Andre Stein on a flight Sept. 15 from Tinley Park to Chicago on a Bell 206 Long Ranger to learn more about the company’s plans for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) services.

Watch the video below to see the simulation in action and hear from Stein about Eve’s plans for future vertiports, lessons learned from its trials in other cities and entry into service plans.
