Years after the ship transited the Pacific for deployment in Asian waters, the Littoral Combat Ship LCS 1 USS Freedom completed Seakeeping and Structural Loads Trials, commonly referred to as Rough Water Trials (RWT), the U.S. Navy says. The tests are designed to ensure the hull design is able to navigate through and withstand forces due to inclement weather and high sea-state conditions.
