Correction
The five-segment rocket variant considered for NASA’s heavy-lift Space Launch System was not flight tested in the Ares I-X configuration, as indicated in a June 17 article. It has been ground tested horizontally as a four-segment booster with a dummy fifth segment and upper stage.
