German defense companies Diehl, Hensoldt and Rheinmetall Electronics have teamed up to offer a short-range air defense system for the country’s armed forces branded ARGE NNbS.

The next upgrade takes the Tomahawk back to its beginnings with the Navy’s anti-ship cruise missile program. The Maritime Strike Tomahawk, also known as Block Va, is now scheduled to enter service in 2023, with a new package of active and passive sensors to fix the location of fast-moving ships.

North Korea announced on March 25 that it had tested a new type of short-range ballistic missile (SRBM), according to the country’s Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

The two teams competing to develop the Next-Generation Interceptor—Lockheed Martin and a Northrop Grumman-Raytheon Technologies partnership—are entering an initial baseline phase that will lead into a preliminary design review for a system designed to protect the U.S. from long-range missile attacks.

The U.S. Navy on March 19 published a sources sought notice to identify potential contractors for integrating hypersonic Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) missiles on Zumwalt-class destroyers.
