First-Half Profits Double At LanChile

Chilean national carrier LanChile posted first-half profits of $16.5 million, double the results for the first six months of 1995, when it reported $8.3 million in net earnings. Operating profits jumped to $17.8 million from $7.3 million, which the carrier attributed in part to rising cargo revenues...
