Etihad Aviation Group CEO James Hogan to step down

James Hogan is stepping down as president and CEO of the Etihad Aviation Group and the Abu Dhabi-based company has begun the search for his successor, it was announced Jan. 24.
Irish regional airline CityJet is to acquire Scandinavian Airlines’ (SAS) Danish regional subsidiary Cimber and has signed a conditional purchase agreement for six Bombardier CRJ900s, plus four options.

Recorders significantly damaged from ACT Airlines 747F

The flight data recorder (FDR) and the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) retrieved last week from the ACT Airlines Boeing 747 freighter crash site and sent to Moscow for analysis have significant mechanical damage and high temperature traces, according to Russia’s Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC).
