L-3 Communications Last Month Built Its 50,000th Flight Recorder
L-3 COMMUNICATIONS last month built its 50,000th flight recorder. L-3's Aviation Recorders unit, based in Sarasota, Fla., has supplied flight data recorders and cockpit voice recorders for 43 years. L-3 FDRs and CVRs have been installed on more than 200 different types of aircraft worldwide.
