767 Crush, Literally
AeroTurbine dismantles about 30 aircraft annually at its Goodyear, Ariz., facility--just outside of Phoenix. Last night, the company hosted a Crush party and guests watched a Boeing 767 being clawed apart--from a safe distance.
Here's the 767 interior before it met its fate with the excavator.
And here's a video showing that same fuselage being torn apart.
Followed by excavator snapping the wing in half.
AeroTurbine just added a second hangar--more than 100,000 sq. ft.--at Goodyear, so it now occupies 352,000 sq. ft. of hangar real estate at that site.
