Aviation Week’s 2023 Fleet & MRO Forecast predicts that commercial MRO demand in the Middle East region will represent a value of $115.2 billion for the period of 2023-32.
Engine maintenance work has the highest share of 51%, around $59 billion of the total MRO demand in the region. Components and line maintenance account for 18% and 15%, respectively, while modifications and airframe heavy will see demand around $12.9 billion and $5.6 billion, respectively.
The data shows that engine overhauls and C checks will comprise the largest share of MRO shop visits in the Middle East for the period 2023-32, at 45% and 36%, respectively.
It is forecast that the Middle East will see a total demand of 6,828 engine overhauls and 5,456 C checks shop visits for the period of 2023-32. Meanwhile, there will be a demand of 1,443 and 1,252 for D checks and engine LLP events in the region over the next decade.
Aviation Week's data also shows that the region's line maintenance segment will represent a value of around $17 billion for the period 2023-32—among which, daily and weekly check will see the highest demand of 51%, around $8.9 billion, while transit checks and A checks will see demand around $4.5 billion and $3.5 billion, respectively.
