Global Regulatory Update, May 29-June 5, 2021

EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-0132 for Saab 2000s, amending time limits and maintenance checks under airworthiness limitations section, effective June 8, 2021.

FAA has issued emergency airworthiness directive 2021-11-51 for International Aero Engines V2522-A5s, V2524-A5s, V2527-A5s, V2527E-A5s, V2527M-A5s, V2530-A5s and V2533-A5s, requiring an ultrasonic inspection of affected high-pressure turbine (HPT) first-stage disks and second-stage disks and, depending on results, removal of affected HPT disks from service, effective upon receipt.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-10-13 for certain Bombardier DHC-8-400s, requiring installing new cable assemblies with a pull-down resistor and modifications to the nose wheel steering system, effective July 1, 2021.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-09-18 for certain ATR72-212As, requiring modifying the electrical harness routes and de-icing pipe coupling installations, effective July 1, 2021.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-10-19 for certain 767-200s, -300s, -300Fs and -400ERs, requiring revising the existing maintenance or inspection program to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations, effective July 1, 2021.
