Joramco extended several maintenance and supply agreements with European airlines and suppliers this week at Aviation Week’s MRO Middle East in Dubai.
The Amman, Jordan-based MRO renewed its maintenance agreement with DHL, which was first established in 2017. The agreement now covers heavy checks on four of DHL’s Airbus A300-600 freighters. The first aircraft arrived at Joramco’s base in February for nose to tail checks, which will be followed by three more aircraft starting in May.
Joramco also extended its maintenance agreement with Lithuania-based charter carrier GetJet Airlines, which began last summer with a C check on one of the airline’s Airbus A330s. The new agreement covers six-year nose to tail checks on another three of GetJet’s A320 fleet. The checks started in December 2021 and will continue through March.
Meanwhile, Joramco officially inked an agreement with Turkish carrier Corendon Airlines that covers a C check it performed over the course of 17 days this month on one of the airline’s Boeing 737 NGs. Joramco CEO Fraser Currie says the agreement “will open the door for future cooperation with Corendon and also for further opportunities in the Turkish market.”
To help support these partnerships, Joramco extended its agreement with Satair covering the supply of consumables and expendables for support of Airbus and Boeing aircraft. Satair says the agreement, which took effect on Feb. 22, secures regional spares availability for Joramco and minimizes the risk of AOGs.
