Global X Selects TRAX eMRO Software
Global Crossing Airlines selected TRAX eMRO software for its launch of charter passenger and cargo airline Global X. The airline is currently being certified in the U.S. as a Part 121 carrier and plans to grow to a fleet of 20 passenger Airbus A320s and 10 cargo A321s.

De Havilland Canada Switches to IFS Software
De Havilland Canada has chosen IFS Applications software to support its enterprise resource planning, including aftermarket support, sales and order management, materials management, operational processes and procurement and finance. The IFS software will replace more than 300 legacy systems with a central platform covering De Havilland Canada’s entire operation.

Launch of Safran Seats Asia
Safan has launched Safran Seats Asia in Singapore, which it says will provide aftermarket support to airline customers in the Asia-Pacific region. Safran Seats’ aftermarket services include 24/7 spare parts, repairs, training, reliability and maintainability analyses, and asset management solutions.
 
Choose Aerospace Seeking Education Partners
Nonprofit Choose Aerospace, dedicated to promoting aerospace technical careers, is soliciting bids from potential partners to support development of standard aviation technical curriculum focused on a high school student audience. Responses to the invitation to bid are due Dec. 1.

Eurowings Signs Maintenance Contract with Nayak
Eurowings has signed a long-term maintenance contract with Nayak Aircraft Services for line maintenance at its Dusseldorf station. Nayak will handle AOGs, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events, complex structure repairs, landing gear changes and implementation of service bulletins.

S7 Technics Completes Complex C Check for ATRAN
S7 Technics has completed dismantling of the keel of a Boeing 737 cargo aircraft operated by ATRAN during a C check. The keel’s front left attachment point was replaced along with longitudinal and transverse floor beams of the main cargo deck.

SunExpress Gets EASA DOA Approval
Turkish airline SunExpress has received EASA Design Organization Approval, authorizing it to design aircraft components. It will now be able to prepare and approve engineering design, certification and flight packages in-house to reduce modification costs for aircraft in its fleet and provide these services to other customers.

UAS Manufacturer AeroVironment Joins Robotic Skies MRO Network
AeroVironment is the latest company to join Robotic Skies’ global MRO network for UAS fleets. Under a new teaming agreement, Robotic Skies will provide it with local maintenance services through its broad service center network of 200 independently owned and operated, certified repair stations.

Sapura Technics Gets Part 145 Approval and Rolls out MRO Software
Sapura Technics has obtained its first Part 145 provisional approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia and expects to carry out its first heavy maintenance check in the next quarter. It has also implemented AMOS MRO Edition to manage its line and base maintenance activities.
