The UK Civil Aviation Authority has allowed UK airlines to operate passenger flights with the Boeing 737 MAX, subject to close oversight, starting Jan. 27. The ban on the MAX operating in UK airspace is also removed. The CAA is in close contact with TUI, currently the only UK operator of the MAX, and will have full oversight of the airline's plans, including its pilot training and required aircraft modifications.
